“A baby will make love stronger, days shorter, nights longer, bankroll smaller, home happier, clothes shabbier, the past forgotten, and the future worth living for”
I'm finally coming up for air for a moment. It's been a crazy, busy Summer!! We have so much going right now and work is sooooo busy! I'm going to try to keep my eyes open long enough to update on what we have been up to.
I first want to ask a very special prayer for Keyvin Wright. Keyvin is the brother of my brother in law, Randy. He is a logger and last week he was hit in the head with a branch of a tree. He was not knocked out right away, but he went to the ER shortly after that, filled out his own patient forms...and then eventually started to pass out. He was life flighted to Vanderbilt University Medical Center and underwent two emergency crani's to try and stop the bleeding in his brain. As of right now there is only 1% of his brain active and the chances of him surviving this with any sort of quality of life is very slim. Slim...but not impossible. Dr.'s have to always give you the realistic answer to what they project will happen...but the "not likely" does not mean miracles can't happen. He needs a miracle and I just want to ask that you all remember to pray for him, his wife and children, and family. Please pray for Randy, Jana and Cameron as well. Randy and Keyvin are very close. They are having a very hard time with this and the upcoming days are going to be tough. Keyvin is a very sweet, hard-working man, that loves the outdoors and hunting. This tragedy has effected so many people in the community and it's so very sad. Life is so fragile and things can change in the blink of an eye. Please, please, please pray for them!
A couple of weeks ago we went to Abilene for Josh and Lana's wedding shower. The weekend after that Kris went back to Abilene for Josh's bachelor weekend and I got sick with a stomach bug. We have been swamped with cases at work so when I get home in the evenings, after getting the munchkin down, working on laundry, and all the other usual weekly chores, I am pretty much beat. Last weekend we got to slow down for a bit. Kris and I celebrated his 35th birthday at Texas de Brazil in Fort Worth. The food was wonderful and it was also nice to eat without leaving a huge mess in the floor because of a little blonde girl who likes to throw her food when she is finished :). Mandi was nice enough to stay with Scout. On Saturday we went to work out and then took Scout to the pool for a while. Later Saturday evening we went to look at furniture, and then met Mandi and Blake for dinner at Chuy's and then Coldstone for dessert! Sunday was church and then a whole lot of nothing. I did make Kris a post birthday dinner :) It was nice to finally have a day to just hang around the house and not do much. We needed it.
Scout is doing great! She will take a couple steps but is not officially walking yet. She is very close though. She is very mischievous (see above video). I am still trying to work on her one year video. I just haven't had the time lately, but I will get it done eventually. In the meantime I posted a few videos from when she was a newborn. They are in older posts below. So cute!!! Kamden has changed so much in the last year too. Crazy how fast the last year has gone by!! I am having fun going through all the videos I have forgotten about. I will hopefully get the final 1st year video completed before her 2nd birthday. :)
Enjoy the Pictures and I hope everyone has a wonderful week!

Hello all! I hope everyone is staying as cool as possible in this crazy 100+ degree weather. I have never experienced a Summer quite like this one. The heat is near unbearable and I want so bad to see rain. You know it's hot when it's too hot to swim. I typically run at night in the Summer once the sun goes down....usually around 8 o'clock or so...last night at 8 o'clock...my car said it was 103!!!! No thank you.
We have been very busy lately with work, parties, showers, and chasing around our fearless young-in! Scout is doing great!! She is almost walking and she is in to EVERYTHING! She tries to talk but mainly just jabbers. She uses sign language (see above video) to tell us when she wants "more" or when she is "all done". She is such a little smarty pants! :) One of my favorite tings that she does is her "come here" signal. When she is about to go explore something and wants you to follow her she turns around, sticks out her hand... and fingers to palm just as fast as she can. It's so cute! She gets more and more fun everyday and she definitely keeps us on out toes!! This past weekend we went to the Lake again and had a really fun time! I spent most of the time in the water or on the jet ski so I only got a few pictures. There are also pictures of our friends Adam and Meri's little baby boy's birthday. We went to his party a couple of weeks ago. He and Scout were born only an hour apart. There are also lots of pictures of Josh and Lana's wedding shower. We are heading to Abilene today for another shower so I will try to post more later. Gotta run! Enjoy the pictures and have a wonderful weekend!!!!
